Study yields mixed results of vitamin E's link to stroke

An international team of researchers found that people who took vitamin E supplements had a 22% higher risk of hemorrhagic stroke but a 10% decreased risk of ischemic stroke compared with those who were given placebo. The researchers said that other strategies should be used to reduce the risk of stroke, such as good nutrition, exercise, maintaining a healthy weight and refraining from smoking.
