Feds provide $3 million to boost telehealth in 3 states

Regional health care organizations in Virginia, Maine and Indiana are among the groups receiving funding under a federal program designed to help broaden their telemedicine capabilities. The University of Virginia Center for Telehealth, the nonprofit organization Medical Care Development of Augusta, Maine, and the Indiana Rural Health Association will each receive $1 million from the U.S. Health Resource and Services Administration to build telehealth resource centers.
