Roof restoration work advances at train station in Portland, Ore.

A $6 million renovation project that includes roof restoration work at the Northwest Portland Union Station in Portland, Ore., is moving forward. The station's roof, which was installed in 1896, leaks and needs to be repaired. Work will include replacing metal roof tiles as well as all sections of the roof that are more than 30 years old.
