Alcatel-Lucent offering new stock, bonds to raise $2.7B

Alcatel-Lucent is looking to raise roughly $2.7 billion to reduce its debt and finance its comeback plan. The network-gear maker will offer bonds and new stock and open a credit facility to raise the cash. The company announced plans last month to cut 10,000 jobs and move its Paris headquarters as part of its money-saving efforts.
