Bill to protect gay employees clears procedural vote in Senate

The Senate voted 61-30 on Monday to advance the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would forbid workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. While it appears the bill will pass the Senate, it is expected to have a tougher time in the House.
