Connected Educator Month focused on virtual professional development

Richard Culatta, head of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Technology, said that Connected Educator Month, celebrated in October, was focused on helping teachers join the "vibrant online [educator] communities and the incredible sharing moments happening on Twitter." The monthlong event, which included a variety of Twitter chats, webinars and more, focused on the use of online resources to help educators connect and take part in virtual professional development.
