Fed: Banks eased lending standards in Q3

U.S. banks eased lending standards in the third quarter as demand for mortgage loans decreased and the commercial-lending market became more competitive, a survey by the Federal Reserve finds. "Everybody's going after loans wherever they can find them," said Kelly King, CEO of BB&T. "We have an appetite to increase our CRE, but we do not have an appetite strong enough to take on too much risk at the extraordinarily low prices."
