Growing Anchorage restaurant scene gets more diverse

Alaska's projected 3.9% growth in restaurant sales this year puts it eighth in NRA's state rankings, and the growth is apparent in Anchorage where residents spend $450 million a year to dine out. The trend is fueling a the opening of at least seven new downtown restaurants, including independent eateries, an artisan pizza chain and a Hard Rock Cafe slated to open in the spring.
