N.J. city manager leaves office after 10 years

Terence Reidy has departed as city manager of Asbury Park, N.J., after a decade in the position. "When I came to Asbury Park, it was considered unsafe to live, unsafe to shop; we had a handful of restaurants, and we had no downtown to speak of," Reidy said, adding that the city is in better financial shape. The City Council has appointed Anthony Nuccio, director of social services, as acting city manager, and a search is underway for a permanent replacement.
