TSA will review agent safety rules after shooting at LAX

John Pistole, administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, said the agency is reviewing its polices and will make efforts to prevent another shooting like the one Friday at Los Angeles International Airport. J. David Cox, president of the American Federation of Government Employees, doesn't want to arm TSA agents but said they should be given the power to arrest those who act unlawfully. "Any type of weapon in a checkpoint area can be volatile," he said. "These officers are assaulted frequently in the line of duty, and we have a lot of on-the-job injuries that occur as a result of the assaults."
