Report: "Must-have" technologies can transform schools

A preliminary report issued Nov. 3 by the Consortium for School Networking predicts the emerging "hot" technologies for schools will include RFID chips, student blogs, essay-grading software and datacasting, a higher-quality version of streaming video. Keith Krueger, CoSN's CEO, says schools have to move beyond viewing technology as primarily an aid to administrative offices.
