MySpace to launch ad targeting platform

MySpace is expected to unveil this week an ad platform that allows marketers to deliver targeted ads based on user information to members of the social-networking site. The HyperTargeting technology, developed by Strategic Data Corp, has been tested by Microsoft, P&G and Toyota. MySpace will also roll out a self-service ad tool that will allow small businesses to upload ads themselves and restrict viewing to specific users.
