One-stop shopping a thing of the past for most grocery buyers

FMI reports that there is strong evidence that shoppers are no longer relying on one-stop supermarket shopping. "They're buying their staples canned goods and cereal at discount retailers and warehouse clubs, and then they're going to a conventional supermarket for their perishables," said FMI spokesman Bill Greer.
