Social networks Facebook and MySpace are concocting methods of serving ads to users based on details from their personal profiles, and having such ads appear to users both on the social networks and elsewhere on the Web, using tracking technology. The key for advertisers, according to this article, is to take advantage of this ad targeting without appearing to be too intrusive.
