From the Gaza strip to Caracas, even in places that are more likely to burn a U.S. flag than wave it, Barack Obama's victory restores the treasured idea that America is the land of endless opportunity. But amid soaring global hope, some warn that the warmth is fleeting. "We will be optimistic for two months but that's it," says Huda Naim, a member of the Hamas parliament in Gaza.
