Teacher prep time on chopping block in Nevada?

Officials in a Nevada school district say they can trim their budget ahead of expected state cuts by eliminating a 45-minute period in the day that teachers use to grade papers and prepare lessons, and also by increasing some class sizes. However, Clark County Superintendent Walt Rulffes suggested that the $103 million saved by dropping teacher preparation time would put teachers and the school district at a disadvantage.
