Obesity a risk factor for hospitalization from H1N1 flu

About 58% of people hospitalized for H1N1 influenza are obese, putting obesity on par with pregnancy as a risk factor for flu complications, study data showed. Experts said obese patients often have other health problems, including chronic lung disease, and compromised immune systems.
