Report: Private-equity firms' largest holdings are performing poorly

A report from Moody's shows that the 10 largest companies owned by private-equity firms performed worse than others in the same sectors. Four of these companies have defaulted on their debt. Companies owned by private-equity firms that fall into distress do not receive needed investment from the holding, according to the report.
