Mica advocates leveraging private funds to pay for highway work

When Congress takes up a six-year highway funding bill in 2011, tax increases won't be part of the bargain. Rep. John Mica, R-Fla., presumptive chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, said he will look at public-private partnerships, unspent federal dollars and aid to states to help fund infrastructure projects covered by the bill.
