Official says first week of new pat-down technique goes well

Transportation Security Administration officials at Sacramento International Airport in California said the first week of a new pat-down technique went well. TSA agents are more likely to detect hidden objects using the new "slide-down" search technique, according to the TSA. Gail Levario, the TSA's new security director for the airport, said officers are trained to explain the technique to travelers and noted that the searches occur in a private place. Meanwhile, some privacy advocates have criticized the search technique.
