Texas veterinarians see rise in canine parvovirus cases

Veterinarians across West Texas say they are seeing a lot of young dogs with canine parvovirus, a potentially fatal disease that attacks the immune system and is transmitted through the feces of an infected animal. Area residents are urged to make sure their dogs are vaccinated against the disease, which is indicated by diarrhea, vomiting and other signs.
