AMD reportedly cancels Kaveri processor

Advanced Micro Devices has apparently given up on its Kaveri accelerated processing unit, which was to have Steamroller x86 cores with Piledriver x86 cores, according to a presentation slide published by the Donamin Haber website. The company's top-performing desktop processor next year will continue to be the Vishera CPU with Piledriver cores, the slide shows. AMD did not comment on the report.
