New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has issued a moratorium of 30 days on the cancellation or termination of property insurance policies. He also ordered insurers to ease the requirements for documenting property damage from Hurricane Sandy and its remnants. A nor'easter is predicted to hit the state midweek, prompting Cuomo to warn residents as the state struggles to recover from Sandy. "The storm is a serious storm. Normally, I wouldn't consider it a life-threatening storm. But these are not normal times," Cuomo said.
