Emergency system activated for health infrastructure recovery

An emergency response system called the National Healthcare and Public Health Cyber Response System has been activated by the National Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center in the wake of superstorm Sandy. The system was established to promote health care-critical infrastructure recovery and protection. According to officials, it will facilitate interactions with federal, state and private-sector organizations with regard to situational awareness, the sharing of information and incident response.
