"Active design" concepts encourage wellness at work

Using an "active design" concept for work spaces that promotes activity can encourage employee wellness, says Jennifer Stukenberg, a senior interior designer at BWBR. She says standing desks, walking work stations and using stability balls as office chairs offer additional opportunities for activity. Work spaces can be divided into quiet and active areas to reduce environmental stress, Stukenberg adds.
