BB&T aims to expand commercial lending in Baltimore

BB&T plans to open four new branches in Baltimore in the next six months, which would bring the total number of BB&T branches in the city to seven. The bank also plans to increase its commercial-lending business, targeting companies with $1 million to $50 million in annual revenue in a variety of industries, according to David Garbarino, BB&T's president for the Baltimore region.
