Dad gives son prosthetic hand with the help of artist, 3D printer

Paul McCarthy was able to create a prosthetic hand for his 12-year-old son, Leon, thanks to his persistence, a 3D printer and the help of Washington state special effects artist Ivan Owen, who previously created prosthetic fingers for a boy in South Africa. Leon, whose prosthesis is able to help him manipulate a pencil, was born without fingers on his left hand.
