EU Parliament publishes amendments to proposed medtech, IVD rules

The European Parliament has posted on its website summaries of its amendments to the European Commission's proposals for medical device and in vitro diagnostic regulation. The amendments to the proposed IVD rules include extending the time allowed for ethics panel approval when required, while the changes to the proposed medtech rules include mandating that only devices indicated as reusable should be reprocessed.
