HealthCare.gov was unavailable for part of Monday afternoon

CMS Director of Communications Julie Bataille said that HealthCare.gov went down for approximately an hour and a half Monday afternoon. The data services hub was operational during the outage, but the enrollment and application functions were not. Additional outages will also occur every morning from 1 to 5 a.m. for scheduled work. "We expect these occasional outages are likely to occur. This is a natural part of the process," lead contractor QSSI's Andy Slavitt said.
