India's probe lifts off for Mars

A satellite designed to study the Martian surface and hunt for evidence of methane gas lifted off from India on Tuesday, becoming a first for Asian exploration of Mars. "The journey has only begun," said Koppillil Radhakrishnan, chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization, who added that the mission would "provide knowledge to the Indian community and humanity."
