IOSCO's Wright sees need for global market regulator

David Wright, secretary general of the International Organization of Securities Commissions, says authorities should consider establishing a global watchdog for resolving financial-market disputes. "We need a type of global de Larosiere committee to examine the issues in detail," Wright said, referring to a committee led by Jacques de Larosiere, former managing director of the International Monetary Fund.
