N.Y. casino referendum might not affect Atlantic City, experts say

New York voters will vote on a casino referendum today to expand gambling by up to seven casinos in the state, but experts say it might not affect Atlantic City, N.J. "I really don't see a New York expansion having a significant impact on Atlantic City's figures," said Brian Tyrrell, a senior research fellow with the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
