Pa. medical facility continues operations after 6 cases of Legionnaires' disease

Integrated Health Campus has disinfected and flushed a cooling system and drained two fountains at its facility in South Whitehall Township, Pa., in an effort to remediate possible sources of Legionella. Six cases of Legionnaires' disease were reported among visitors to the medical campus, officials said. The Pennsylvania Department of Health inspected the facility and collected water samples, but has allowed the center to continue operations because of the quick remediation efforts, Integrated Health Campus said in a statement.
