Southwest launches service to last 3 AirTran markets

Southwest Airlines began flying to the last three cities served by AirTran, but not Southwest, before the merger of the two carriers. Southwest launched service to Richmond, Va., Memphis, Tenn., and Pensacola, Fla., over the weekend. The carrier said it has a "plan to bring Southwest Airlines service to all domestic cities in the company's network by year's end, as the integration of Southwest and AirTran approaches its final phases."
