Survey: Companies are using cloud to better understand customers

A survey by Decision Management Solutions about cloud predictive analytics found that companies are using the technology primarily to better understand customer satisfaction, customer profitability and retention. The survey looked at 350 responses and focused on prepackaged cloud solutions, cloud-based predictive modeling and cloud deployment of predictive analytics. Companies also are using cloud solutions in marketing, the supply chain, business and marketing optimization, and risk and fraud prevention. However, the survey found that they are concerned about data security and privacy, as well as regulatory compliance, as a result of their adoption of predictive analytics.
