Mayo Clinic, Roche Develop Rapid DNA Test For Anthrax

The Mayo Clinic announced Nov. 5 that it has developed a DNA test with Roche Diagnostics that can rapidly detect anthrax in humans and in the environment. The test, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not plan to use at this time, can detect the bacteria in less than an hour.
