Barr to put Plan B drugs on shelves mid-November

Barr Pharmaceuticals says the morning-after pill will be available by mid-month for over-the-counter sales in the U.S. for women 18 and older. While most states would require a doctor's prescription for those 17 and younger, nine states allow them to bypass doctors and receive a Plan B prescription directly from a participating pharmacist.
