Airlines' on-time arrivals up in September

Airlines were on time more often in September 2007 than they were the same month in 2006, according to the Department of Transportation. The 20 biggest airlines reported an on-time arrival rate of 81.7% for the month, up from 76.2% a year ago. The overall on-time performance for 2007 is the worst in the past 13 years, however, despite September's improvement.
