Business fliers strategize to keep frequent flier accounts active

Business travelers are finding new ways to keep airlines from canceling their miles, including taking company surveys, shopping, and donating miles to charity. Many airline loyalty programs now have policies that place an expiration date on flight credits or dictate that accounts may be closed after long periods of inactivity.
