Presidential candidates offer few detailed education proposals

Only one year out from the 2008 presidential election, few of the candidates have yet specified how they would improve K-12 schools in the U.S. With Iraq and health care receiving a great deal of scrutiny, education policy may continue to be a low-priority issue on the campaign trail, political experts say.
