Drug combo helps reprogram stem cells, study says

A drug combination can improve the reprogramming of cells derived from human tissues into induced pluripotent stem cells, which are much like embryonic stem cells, scientists at the Scripps Research Institute said. The technique, which eliminates the need to use genes and viruses to transform cells, could help find other drugs and small molecules that offer insight into the conversion process.
