New Telstra modem promises to "push speed barriers"

Australia's Telstra will begin field trials next month for what it contends is the world's fastest mobile-broadband modem, saying the enhanced HSPA technology will download data three times faster than the current state-of-the-art modem, with the ability to reach 21 Mbps. The carrier wants to begin full commercial production in early 2009.
