Classical music soothes dogs, study finds

Classical music such as Mozart or Beethoven relaxes shelter dogs more than heavy metal music and music composed specifically for dogs, according to a recently reported study. Colorado State University psychologist Lori Kogan and colleagues exposed shelter dogs to the three forms of music and recorded thousands of behavioral data points over four months.
