Kiosks could make healthy lunches more accessible to students

A Louisiana school district plans to install two vending machines that will act as kiosks where students can purchase healthy lunches. "It's another way of trying to provide meals to the students who want to eat with us but according to time constraints or location don't," said Renée Sherville, district child nutrition services supervisor for the Lafayette Parish School System. "It makes it more accessible to them. Some kids don't even go to the cafeteria because they know they can't get in. We're looking at an alternative means to get the kids served."
