Medicare nudges beneficiaries toward better-performing plans

Medicare officials are working to shift beneficiaries to better coverage by sending letters informing seniors whose plans were rated below three stars for three years in a row. The letters were sent to about 375,000 Medicare Advantage members and 150,000 drug plan members, warning of possible future cancellation of plans.
