Review looks at real vs. fake images during Sandy

The 50 most-tweeted images during Hurricane Sandy included nine photos whose veracity was questioned, including two that were exposed as fakes, suggesting that spoofs and bogus images aren't gaining as much traction as some may think, researchers say. The most widely circulated faked images were of sharks swimming through flooded front yards or along submerged highways.
