Appboy CEO: 2014 will be the year of app-user retention

Appboy has raised $7.6 million in venture capital to further its concept of mobile application engagement and user retention through timely push notices, in-app messages and e-mail. "It's not an acquisition game anymore. I really believe 2014 will be about user engagement, retention -– those kind of numbers -- rather than how many downloads you had," Appboy's Mark Ghermezian says.
