Calif. city files complaint against FAA for airport control

A dispute over control of the Santa Monica Airport in California may be resolved by a complaint the city filed against the Federal Aviation Administration. The city of Santa Monica says it did not give up ownership of the airport when it leased the property to the federal government during World War II. However during the duration of the lease, the government added numerous improvements, with the stipulation that the property remain an airport.
