Md. school creates living art with environmental message

The school playground at Oak View Elementary in Silver Spring, Md., recently became a canvas of 350 staff and students dressed in certain colors and arranged to create a living work of art with a message about the environment and air pollution. In the collaborative work with Oregon conceptual artist Daniel Dancer, the art piece depicts the school mascot -- a dragon -- embracing a peace symbol made by arranging 200 pairs of blue jeans collected by students. When it was finished, Dancer took a photo from 80-feet above the mosaic of people.
