Package liquor store ballot issue passes in Arlington, Texas

A two-thirds majority, or almost 70%, of voters in Arlington, Texas, voted on Tuesday to allow package liquor stores to open in the city limits for the first time and allow the sale of wine at Rangers Ballpark. The city will use added sales tax revenue to pay off debts, fix city streets and other expenditures, Mayor Robert Cluck said.
